Does Watch Dog record my screen?
No, never. No screen recording, no keystrokes, nothing you type. It only notices which project is open in Premiere, After Effects, or Resolve and how long you actually worked. That's it.
Do I have to start a timer?
No. Watch Dog detects when Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or DaVinci Resolve is your active window and starts logging on its own, every quick fix and revision included.
Where does my data live?
On your Mac, in a local database. No cloud, no account, no sync, no analytics. Your hours, clients and rates are yours alone.
Can I bill clients from it?
Yes. Watch Dog turns your tracked time into your real hourly rate on every project, and builds invoices straight from your hours, clients, multiple currencies, hourly or fixed fees.
What if I forget to track something, or work offline?
You can log or edit any session by hand. Manual entries count exactly the same as auto-tracked ones in your totals and billing.
Does it work on Windows?
Not yet, Watch Dog is macOS-only for now, built around Premiere Pro, After Effects, and DaVinci Resolve. More platforms and apps are on the way.
